Welcome!

We are here to support your growth through collaborative and affirming psychotherapy. This practice is open and inclusive to all.

Our Philosophy

Bloomgarden, Ostroff & Associates is a psychotherapy practice based in Philadelphia. We provide telehealth to individuals in Pennsylvania and in-person therapy at our Center City office.

Our clinicians use a variety of treatment methods and will tailor their approach to your individual needs. We take an active approach to therapy by helping you develop skills and strategies to navigate stressful life situations in the here-and-now.

We will also work with you to become unstuck from past life events that might be holding you back from living the life you want.

Seeking out therapy is a way to know that you are ready to confront the patterns that no longer serve you and take the first steps towards meaningful change.

"In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” Abraham Maslow

Change takes courage. We understand that healing is not linear, and we're ready to help you start that journey.

Our Therapeutic Values

The Therapeutic Relationship

Our clinicians recognize the importance of the therapeutic relationship in facilitating growth and change. Cultivating an environment of trust and compassion is vital to our work together.

Community

At Bloomgarden, Ostroff & Associates we see ourselves as an interconnected team that evolves and grows over time. Our differences enhance our ability to learn from each other both professionally and personally, and ultimately allows us to be the best therapists we can be.

Recognizing Systemic Oppression

We know that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution to all the problems of our complicated world.  There may also be many barriers to accessing mental health care, particularly for clients who share multiple marginalized identities. At Bloomgarden, Ostroff & Associates we approach the therapeutic work with an understanding that social issues can and do impact personal development. Using a social justice and trauma-informed lens is central to our understanding that mental health is not a singular, individualized issue.

Getting Started

  • It's important to us that you work with a therapist that's a good fit for you. Our intake clinicians, Allison and Amy, will spend time hearing about your concerns, your therapist preferences, and your scheduling needs. Go to our Contact Page to get started!
  • We accept insurance and private pay. We are in-network with a variety of insurance plans, and will assist you in getting reimbursed from those we don't accept. We understand that it can be a financial struggle to get help and we can explore sliding fee options to help with that burden.
  • We provide our services in-person or virtually. Our therapists provide telehealth services, on a HIPAA compliant platform, to clients residing in the state of Pennsylvania. Meeting virtually with your therapist can be a way to decrease some of the barriers to getting into the therapy office. If we are in-network with your insurance company, you are likely covered for telehealth appointments, and we are able to bill these sessions the same way we bill for in-person therapy.
