As a therapist, I encourage you to bring the “messiest” parts of yourself into the room during our sessions. I strive to create a safe, yet empowering space for all my clients, especially for those who hold marginalized identities in our current socio-political climate. My approach to therapy can be described as relational, person-centered, feminist, and trauma-informed. I let you set the pace of treatment and help you build confidence in your innate abilities to persevere and heal during difficult seasons of life. I also encourage you to provide feedback throughout our time together, so that we can make treatment as impactful and positive as possible. I believe that the most important aspect of our work together involves building a strong therapeutic relationship, so you can also expect a deep interest in you as a person outside of presenting concerns or diagnoses.
I am comfortable meeting with individuals across the lifespan from 16 years old through older adulthood. I also enjoy working with couples and leading Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills groups. In terms of areas of focus, I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. Specifically, I have substantial experience working with Bisexual, Non-Binary, and Transgender folx. Other specialty areas are working with athletes, students, and those who have experienced trauma of any form. I received my Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo in counseling psychology.
I am currently licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a psychologist. Feel free to reach out if I sound like a good fit for you and your current needs. Either way, I wish you luck on your healing journey!
