Our stories rarely unfold in the way we expect. In periods of hardship, of stuckness, of transition, or of trying to navigate the day-to-day, you deserve a space that is fully yours where you can land safely just as you are. As your therapist, I promise to always meet you with curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment, and to honor your story as uniquely yours.
I believe that we do not exist in silos. As relational beings, we are shaped by our past experiences, relationships, and the environments and systems within which we live. As we work together you might rediscover internal strengths and learn to tap into those strengths as well as external resources to create the changes you want to see. My hope is that in doing so you will feel empowered to grow into your most authentic self.
My therapeutic style is holistic and integrative, incorporating person-centered, strengths-based, narrative, parts work, and emotion-focused approaches. I practice as a gender-affirming and trauma-informed clinician. I am also a yoga instructor and incorporate principles of mind-body connection into the therapeutic journey.
I graduated with a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University I am currently working toward licensure as a professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, and my specialty areas include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body image concerns, issues of identity including gender identity, grief and loss, relationship issues, and chronic illness.
Within the therapy room – whether virtual or in-person – you and your story are at the forefront. All parts of you and your story are welcome here.
